Grab Your Passport…Adventure Awaits!

Planning a party for someone who loves to travel?  Take your guests on an adventure with Around The World decorations that were new for our 2018 catalog.  A “Travel” theme works perfectly for a birthday party, graduation party or retirement celebration.

Decorating a classroom to teach about geography or international landmarks?  Maybe you’re looking for ideas to decorate your church for Vacation Bible School?  Not only is this theme perfect for parties, but it can be used for educational purposes as well!  Keep reading for some inspiration on how you can use this theme in your home, school, church, etc.  Also, watch out for some awesome DIY projects.

The Around The World collection has everything you need to transform any space for an international adventure.  For the table, use the Table Runner, Table Cards, Plates and Napkins.  At the end of your event, send your guests home with a special treat hidden inside the Luggage Favor Boxes.  My favorite decoration from the whole collection are the 3-D Airplanes.  These are easy to assemble, and can either be used on a table or can hang from the ceiling.  Around-The-World

Kids will be excited to “stamp” their passports with our realistic looking Around The World Passports and Passport Stickers.

Create a creative backdrop using paper plates!  This concept would work with any plate design from a variety of themes.  However, the Around The World Plates are great because the design isn’t too busy to use as a backdrop.

Don’t forget about the Around The World Sign Banner.  This banner truly makes a statement with its bright colors and large size.  It is 5 feet wide and would be great in a classroom or over a table at a party.

DIY projectI love how these Paper Lanterns turned out.  I used our White Paper Lanterns and did a papier-mâché technique using the Around The World Napkins.  This DIY Paper Lantern technique was simple and fun to do!  Be sure to check out next week’s post to see a tutorial on how you can make these for your next event.

DIY projectThis simple Pennant Banner was made using the 16″ Planet Earth Cutout.  To make your own Map Banner, divide the Earth Cutout in to 8 sections (like a pizza).  Cut the sections apart and trim the top edges of the triangle pennants so that they are straight.  Last, use a hole punch to poke holes in your pennants and add string to hang.

Channel your inner pilot with the Aviator Goggles, Hat & Scarf Set or pose for a photo using the Around The World Photo Fun Signs.  These props are super fun and can help your guests set sail for their own adventures.
